Pediatric physical therapy

Physical therapists provide evaluation and treatment to make your child as active and independent as possible. This includes helping children learn how to roll over, sit by themselves, crawl, and walk. It also includes teaching children how to use a new piece of equipment such as a walker or wheelchair.

A large part of our program involves working with families to teach them how to help their child at home. We also collaborate with other rehabilitation and medical professionals. Therapy sessions are provided in a child-friendly environment with use of toys to encourage active participation. We provide instruction in at-home care and exercises for pre-operative and post-operative care if surgery is needed.
