Advocate Children’s Hospital – Oak Lawn partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana to provide extra care that fosters healing and well-being for your child.
Ronald McDonald House is an affordable place to call home for families of children in our care. Right across the street from Advocate Children's Hospital – Oak Lawn, parents and siblings can live in a comfortable environment that offers privacy along with community space to gather with other families in similar situations.
Features for a comfortable stay
- 21 bedrooms with private baths with fully-stocked linens and toiletries
- Daily meals donated and prepared by volunteers
- Large kitchen
- Laundry facilities with detergent
- Shared rooms for watching TV, playing games, relaxing
- Toys, games, books and activities
- Indoor and outdoor play areas, plus a tree house for kids of all abilities
- Nature features including a pond, walking path and gardens
Guest eligibility
The Ronald McDonald House is open to families with pediatric patients at Advocate Children's Hospital and surrounding hospitals who:
- Live more than 10 miles away
- Are referred by a social worker
