Information for providers

Advocate Children’s Hospital is one of the largest network providers of pediatric services in Illinois. As a major referral center for infants and children, our two main campuses in Oak Lawn and Park Ridge combine some of the country’s most respected medical talent with exceptional and compassionate care. That makes us the premier pediatric provider in the Midwest.

As part of the Chicagoland Childrens Health Alliance, we’re partners with Pediatrics at Endeavor Health and University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital in providing personalized care coordination services for children and families. Through our alliance, we’ve formed an integrated and comprehensive network of pediatric experts, from primary to highly specialized care, as well as maternal fetal medicine.

Make a referral with Doctor Connect clinician concierge

Doctor Connect is a clinician concierge program that provides answers to your questions about our specialists and multidisciplinary programs. A team of pediatric nurses is available on weekdays to speak with you or your office support staff and assist in coordinating care for your patients within the Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance network.

You can also fax us information at 224-225-0347.

Transfer or admit a patient

The mission of the Advocate Children’s Hospital Transport Team is to provide stabilization, critical care and family-centered support to ill and injured neonatal and pediatric patients.

Transfer a patient from your pediatric unit, ED or NICU

Our team of highly skilled pediatric transport nurses and respiratory care practitioners provide air and ground transport for the most critically ill infants and children. They’re supported by neonatologists and critical care physicians throughout transportation.

The Transport Team provides interfacility transports to both of our Advocate Children’s Hospital campuses and the NorthShore Evanston NICU.

Arrange a transport to Advocate Children’s Hospital

To arrange for a patient transport to either our Oak Lawn or Park Ridge campus, call 844-543-7224 and press 1.

Our transfer center dispatcher will guide the referring hospital and physician through the transfer process. We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Directly admit a patient to Advocate Children’s Hospital

If you’re a pediatrician and would like to directly admit a patient to the Advocate Children’s Hospital’s Oak Lawn or Park Ridge campus, call 844-543-7224 and press 2.

You’ll be transferred to a nurse at our patient command center to collect essential information about the patient. After receiving instructions for your patient, you’ll be connected to the pediatric hospitalist to provide a report.

Contact our business development team

The business development team at Advocate Children’s Hospital is dedicated to developing and maintaining relationships among our primary care physicians, specialists and hospital team. Our goal is to understand the needs of our referring physicians and APCs and address any concerns.

The team educates pediatric providers on new services, specialists and multidisciplinary programs and serves as a single point of contact for our community network.

Ongoing educational offerings:

  • Connections & Cocktails: Virtual networking events are held in the evening and focused on you meeting our team of network subspecialists. Physicians and APCs who register for the event receive a happy hour kit prior to the event. Specialists provide a brief overview of their services and answer clinical questions submitted during the registration process. CME is available for attendees.
  • Snacks & Facts: These virtual educational events focus on a specific specialty or topic. Physicians and APCs are invited to a 15- to 20-minute formal presentation by specialists followed by a Q&A. A snack kit is delivered to the home or office of each registered attendee. These sessions are typically held in the morning before clinic or in the early afternoon between clinics. CME is available for attendees.
